Nursing home care is the single largest out-of-pocket health care expense for the elderly, far exceeding their out-of-pocket expenses for medical care. Medicaid eligibility pre-planning is about positioning your income and assets so that you can legally qualify for Medicaid benefits, while preserving as much of your resources as possible.
